TEEN LOUNGE is an interactive, non-judgemental, positive social skills group for pre-teen and teenage boys. At these developmental changes, boys look to their peers for emotional support to freely discuss and challenge issues that occur at home, school or any social setting. TEEN LOUNGE is a social skill building group lead by a male professional mental health counselor who helps teens bolster their self-esteem and increase their confidence with others.

Kurtis Gruoner is a recent graduate from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles where he received his Master of Arts degree in Counseling. Kurtis completed his undergraduate education at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks where he received his B.A in Psychology with an emphasis in family and children development. Kurtis completed his internship experience working for U.S Vets as an intern therapist where he worked at different community college’s Veteran Resource Centers to assist the veterans returning to school, transitioning into civilian life, and other social/emotional challenges that they were facing. Currently, Kurtis is working towards becoming licensed as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Matt Rohr Therapy and enjoys working with adolescents, teens and young adults.
